Criminal Case #24 - Anatomy of a Murder

Anatomy of a Murder is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the twenty-fourth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Historical Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was a writer named Wilfred Turnscrew, who was taxidermied and put on display in the Grimsborough Museum. The killer was the museum curator, Cornelia Trent.
Since the people were more interested in Wilfred's books, they had stopped coming to the museum. Without visitors, Cornelia had to sell from museum badges for money and to keep the museum alive. At last, she could not take it anymore, and after watching Wilfred get beaten up by James Savage, Cornelia took the opportunity and killed the writer with a skinning knife, then taxidermied him, and put him on display to get everyone's attention back to the museum.
Cornelia was sentenced to life in jail for the murder of Wilfred.

Criminal Case #23 - The Final Journey

The Final Journey is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the twenty-third case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Historical Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was Daniel Taylor, who was found dead in his attic with no visible wounds on his body. The killer was the victim's girlfriend, Lily Robinson.
Daniel wanted to leave Grimsborough and go to Australia with or without Lily, but Lily did not want to leave the city since it was her home and she belonged there. Even her grandmother felt discarded when Daniel warned that he was leaving anyway. According to Lily, she and Daniel were soulmates and she could not let her love go away from her. So without any other choice, Lily poisoned Daniel with a deadly flower called Ultimum Viaticum (or "Last Journey").
For the murder of Daniel, Lily was sentenced to 15 years in jail with a chance for parole in 6 years. Following the verdict, Jones took some time to state that there was about to be a new exhibit at the local museum.

Criminal Case #22 - To Die or Not to Die

To Die or Not to Die is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the twenty-second case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. Not to mention, it is the first case to take place in the Historical Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was an actor named Jacob Dawks, who was crushed by a sandbag on the stage of Grimsborough Theater. The bag was filled with more weight than it could handle (according to Nathan) and due to that, the bag fell unto Jacob and its weight killed the victim instantly. The killer was the stage director, Phineas Fine.
According to Phineas, Jacob was ruining Phineas' new play called Hamlet since he was a bad actor. Phineas had also tried to fire Jacob a lot of times but the role was secured by a binding contract which prevented Dawks from getting terminated at will. He said that Jacob had a bad tone and that he used to misbehave with everyone. Phineas then told the team that Jacob had to be replaced, or the theater company would be bankrupt before the end of the month.
Phineas was sentenced to 30 years in prison with no chance for parole.

Criminal Case #21 - The Secret Experiments

The Secret Experiments is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the twenty-first case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. Also, it is the tenth and final case to take place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was a journalist, Rachel Priest, who was found melting in a vat of acid with her skull smashed and separated from her body. The killer was the CEO of Greene Holdings, Alden Greene.
Rachel had found out that Army General James Marsh was trying to develop a super soldier serum in the Army which made the bones of a man grow excessively and turned them into a war machine (for example, Drake Ribbs), but the Army had ordered James to stop when they heard about his dangerous human test trials. However, James secretly and illegally continued with the funding of Alden's company, Greene PharmaCorp.

Criminal Case #20 - A Deadly Game

A Deadly Game is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the twentieth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was a man called Steve Wood. The killer was the twin of Harper McAlister (Jezabela's vassal), Tyler McAlister.
Tyler was a psychopath and wanted to kill someone. He knew that Steve lived in a homeless camp in Cooperville and that he had recently got out of prison, and therefore, Tyler took full advantage of it. He told Steve that he would help him to get back on his feet. The two met and Tyler took Steve to a creepy basement, where he tortured the victim, cut off his fingers, ripped out and ate his liver, and finally killed him using an iron maiden, an old torture instrument. He then spread the fingers in different locations before the team found Steve's body (for Nathan to autopsy) in the torture basement in the last minute.
Tyler's manner of manslaughter horrified Grimsborough anew, and the Judge sentenced him to life imprisonment with no chance for parole.

Criminal Case #19 - Innocence Lost

Innocence Lost is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the nineteenth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was Rachel Priest's personal intern, Gail Harding, who was found encased in solid concrete in a construction site. The killer was the business partner of Derek Molina (a venture capitalist who was Gail's employer and also known to be quite close to her), Irina Phelps.
Irina was drunk when she found Gail unconscious (because of an overdose) in the construction site. She thought that Gail was dead and encased the victim in solid concrete so that the body could not be found. Irina hid the victim's body because she thought that Gail's death would give Derek's company a bad image since the victim was an employee of Derek. She did not want to jeopardize Derek's company, which the two of them had built with a lot of hard work. The sentence was 10 years in jail (with parole after 5 years) for Irina.

Criminal Case #18 - In the Dead of Night

In the Dead of Night is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the eighteenth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was a high schooler named Freddy Stewart, who was found lying dead against a tree in Cooper Park during a night robbery in the Greene Mansion.
The killer was a middle schooler named Julian Ramis, who was Freddy's friend. He accidentally killed Freddy with the stolen crossbow during the celebration of the successful robbery of the Greene Mansion at Cooper Park. The crossbow had accidently fired as it was rusty.
Since participating in a robbery was considered as a felony, Julian Ramis, though the murder was accidental, was to report to the Grimsborough Juvenile Detention Center for 1 year. Had Julian refused to conduct the robbery, no charges would have been pressed against him.

Criminal Case #17 - The Last Supper

The Last Supper is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the seventeenth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was Daisy Thompson, who was found dead in her kitchen from food poisoning. The killer was the owner and chef of Chez Valentine restaurant, Valentine Montgomery.
Valentine poisoned Daisy by accident when the victim was having dinner with her husband one night at Chez Valentine. Valentine intended to poison Tobias Sharp, but the waiter, unintentionally, got the plate to the wrong table, poisoning Daisy, who was found dead in her kitchen the next day.
Although the murder was an accident, Judge Hall decided thus a murder is a murder, and a 10-year jail sentence (with no parole) was mandatory for Valentine.

Criminal Case #16 - The Kiss of Death

The Kiss of Death is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the sixteenth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was Emma Ternon, who worked as an informant for Rachel Priest, but also worked as an upscale escort for Rozalina Davidov. The reason why Emma worked two jobs was to help Rachel infiltrate Greene Holdings by working as a call girl, even at the expense of poor treatment as such. Emma was supposed to meet Rachel at Walton Square, but was pushed out of a tower building window and fell to her death.
The killer was a plastic surgeon named Roger Dence, who pushed Emma to her death because he performed ​​a bad plastic surgery on her, which the victim did not like and threatened Roger that she would denounce him, which were grounds for Roger to receive a lifetime jail sentence for grand homicide.

Criminal Case #15 - Family Blood

Family Blood is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the fifteenth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was Alden Greene's daughter-in-law, Aileen Greene.
The killer was the victim's stepson, Scott Greene. Scott felt that Aileen was a horrible step-mother, being abusive to both him and his step-brother Oliver, and stealing money from the family for Tom Hunt, her ex-husband. When Scott asked for his baseball card back, Aileen ripped it to pieces. It was a sentimental and super rare card, worth thousands of dollars, that was given to him by his grandfather, Alden. Scott could not bear it and killed Aileen with a baseball bat and tied her up next to Oliver's crib.
Due to the severity of the crime, when Scott was arrested, he was tried as an adult, which explains why Judge Hall sentenced him to 20 years in jail.

Criminal Case #14 - Fashion Victim

Fashion Victim is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the fourteenth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was Lucy Campbell, the owner of a fashion shop in the mall named "Lucy's Fashion Shop", where she was found impaled through her medulla oblongata on a mannequin stand. The killer was a mall cleaner named Odell Toole.
Odell killed Lucy with the intentions of getting caught, so that everyone would remember him forever. Since Odell was just a mall cleaner working for "Grimsclean", no one gave him as much credit as he wanted them to. So he wanted to change it by doing something unthinkable.
Judge Hall hereby sentenced Odell to 20 years in jail for the first degree murder of Lucy Campbell.

Criminal Case #13 - Bomb Alert on Grimsborough

Bomb Alert on Grimsborough is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the thirteenth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was a man named Henry Crosby, who was killed in an explosion in Cooper Park (the same place where Freddy Stewart was murdered) by a bomb. The killer was an explosives expert named Donald Byrd.
The reason behind Donald killing the victim is not known, as he committed suicide-bombing at the public park when the team went to arrest him. It is possible that Donald killed Henry for testifying against him after he was charged with war crimes and then admitted to an institute for the criminally insane. Both Henry and Donald served in the US Military sometime in their lives.

Criminal Case #12 - Blood on the trading floor

Blood on the Trading Floor is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the twelfth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. Also, it is the first case to take place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was a stock trader named Samuel Rye, who was found hung up in the Stock Exchange and emptied of his insides.
During the murder investigation, David Jones gave the player two new forensic mini-games to use: A forensic brush that forensically dusts hidden fonts for clues, and a database-comparison mechanism, in which the player has to match four things to reveal the next move based on the data stored on the database of the police squad.

Criminal Case #11 - Into the Vipers' Nest

Into the Vipers' Nest is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the eleventh case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. Also, it is the eleventh and final case to take place in the Industrial Area, a district based in Grimsborough.
Salvador Cordero – leader of the Vipers gang – was found dead on his car, with his skull smashed to pieces.
At the climax of the case, and after gaining enough evidence, the Grimsborough PD incriminated the killer to be Tony Marconi – a huge figure in the Italian mafia and also the manager of the Blue Flamingo nightclub.
During the investigation, Tony filed a restraining order against David Jones, claiming that the officer had a maniacal obsession with him, and even threatened to put a restraining order on the entire police when Eduardo Ramirez tried to reason with him.

Criminal Case #10 - Under The Knife

Under the Knife is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the tenth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Industrial Area, a district based in Grimsborough.
The police found a plastic surgeon named Alan Cardwell left for dead in an alley. The killer was eventually incriminated to be Paul Oaster, a writer.
Paul fell in love with a singer named Samantha Warner and would do anything to protect her. Paul could not bear it when it came to his attention that Alan had an affair with Samantha – though the surgeon was already married. In retaliation the writer cornered Alan in Alberta Alley, before stabbing him with a candlestick and fleeing the scene.

Criminal Case #9 - Burned to the Bone

Burned to the Bone is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the ninth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Industrial Area, a district based in Grimsborough.
Chad Whickman, a member of the Vipers gang, was found burnt to a crisp on an abandoned parking lot. The killer was eventually incriminated to be the manager of a mini-market, Joe Stern.
During his arrest, Joe started by claiming that the Vipers would often stop by to vandalize his mini-market, causing an animosity between him and the gang. One day Chad came by, asking Joe for a job in his mini-market. The nature of this event infuriated Joe, since Chad happened to be a member of the Vipers. Showing no mercy, Joe opted to decimate the gang member – thus pouring gasoline on him and burning him to death with his cigarettes.

Criminal Case #8 - Beautiful No More

Beautiful No More is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the eighth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Industrial Area, a district based in Grimsborough.
Outside a diner the corpse of a young woman was found by the Grimsborough PD. She was later identified as Trixie Velvet (real name Patricia Mills), a stripper at Tony Marconi's Blue Flamingo nightclub. The killer was eventually incriminated to be Alice August, a barmaid of the club, although she attempted to frame Colin Stokes to get away with the murder.
Alice stated to the police that she loved Trixie and wrote her letters anonymously – letters which Trixie would read several times, believing that the writer was a man. The two finally met each other behind Joe's Diner one night, after Alice sent Trixie a note asking her to meet her there. Trixie was surprised as well as shocked to learn that her admirer was not a man, causing her to laugh hysterically, which enraged Alice to the fullest. Not being able to control her rage, Alice grabbed a hammer, using which she relentlessly hit Trixie over the head until the victim finally died.
Alice was later sentenced to 20 years in jail (with a chance for parole in 10 years) for the murder of Trixie Velvet.

Criminal Case #7 - Death By Crucifixion

Death by Crucifixion is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the seventh case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Industrial Area, a district based in Grimsborough.
Gordon Michelli, the director of Red Company, was found nailed to a cross in his construction site.
Gaining enough incriminating evidence, the Grimsborough PD arrested a psychologist named Dr. Lawrence Bishop for staging Gordon's murder. During the moment of his arrest, Lawrence stated that he saw it as a Capital Sin when Gordon destroyed the town's oldest church for profit, thus killing him in hopes that he would atone the victim's sins. Lawrence also claimed that Gordon once came to him with a wish to die, because of the guilt that tormented him.
Lawrence was later sentenced to confinement in a psychiatric institution for criminals.

Criminal Case #6 - Good Cop Dead Cop

Good Cop Dead Cop is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the sixth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Industrial Area, a district based in Grimsborough.
Ed Dunkin, a detective of the Grimsborough Police Department, was found dead on the platform of the Queen Street subway station.
At the climax of the case, the killer was surprisingly incriminated to be Harry Landry – a fellow GBPD detective and the victim's partner. During the moment of his arrest, Harry stated that he had to kill Ed because he could not watch the victim ruin his career by associating with dodgy characters like Angel Martinez, Zeus, and Freddie Whitmore. To conclude, Harry admitted to killing his partner and declared himself guilty.
At the trial, since Harry admitted to the crime before Judge Hall, he was only given a 4-year jail sentence with parole eligibility in 2 years.

Criminal Case #5 - A Russian Case

A Russian Case is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the fifth case of the game as well as the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Industrial Area, a district based in Grimsborough.
The victim was Anton Levin, head of the Russian mafia. He was found sitting dead in his restaurant with strange wounds on the head. The killer was eventually incriminated to be his own son, Mikhail Levin.
During the moment of his arrest, Mikhail stated that he was disgusted after discovering the fact that his father was having an affair with his girlfriend, Eva Coleman, prompting him to slay Anton with a meat tenderizer. It was later revealed that the victim had also got Eva impregnated, angering Mikhail even more.
